Prior to her IFBB career and years in the NPC, Janet actively participated in artistic dance and cheerleading which started at an early age, continued through her teens and culminated with a position as a NFL Cheerleader for the Washington Redskins. She is still fiercely loyal to her “Skins” and enjoys her involvement and affiliation with the Washington Redskin Cheerleader Association (WRCAA).
Janet owns and operates Core Elements by Janet Lynn West in Ellicott City, MD and has a diverse client base with differing fitness goals and various health/injury/rehabilitation concerns. Janet firmly believes in educating her clients and students in nutrition, strength training; and, how to implement a program of regular exercise (including cardio) into everyday life. Janet’s primary goal is to help you achieve yours. She continues her passion to train her clients on a one and one basis and/or in small groups and loves sharing her knowledge to help others in the area of personal training. Janet is accepting both new online and in person clients for general training, nutritional counseling and figure competition consulting.
Janet’s goals for the future are to make it to the stage at the Olympia; and, then to have some of her students do the same.
Janet is represented by Wilhelmina of PA for acting and modeling opportunities is managed by Parker Management for personal appearances, motivational speaking engagements, social media involvement, sponsorship and branding opportunities in the Mid Atlantic region. She is a familiar face at fitness trade shows and competitions across the country and truly enjoys being part of the fitness industry.
Janet is currently in the stages of final editing of two videos and is in discussions relative to publishing a cookbook.

Nippers set to pack Cosy Corner
Torquay’s Cosy Corner will be host to over 1500 competitors and their families for Life Saving Victoria’s biggest junior Nipper carnival of the year tomorrow, Friday 3 January, 2014.
Starting at 9am, teams and individuals with battle in the surf and sand in countless events including beach flags, sprints, foam board relay, aqua cameron and the iconic ironman and woman.
LSV Aquatic Sport Junior Coordinator, Luke Gavin encourages everyone to show their support and attend the Cosy Corner Carnival 9am – 4pm, Friday 3 January.
“It is a great opportunity to head down to the beach with friends and family for an action-packed day out,” he said.
“Nippers is an excellent way for children to make friends, be active, enjoy the beach and develop lifesaving skills in a safe and welcoming environment.”
The celebrated Cosy Corner Carnival has been running for over 20 years and continues to attract a growing crowd every year.
“In Victoria we have almost 10,000 Nippers aged between six and 13 years, who hit our beaches as part of the Junior Development Program each summer,” said Mr Gavin.
