The WA State Junior Individual Championships was held on July 2-3 at Squashworld Mirrabooka.
Congratulations to Damon Macmillan &Kiara Rogers who are the WA State Junior Boys & Girls Champions for 2016.
The 2016 WA State Junior Team has been selected. The team will compete at the Australian Junior Championships to be held in Sydney on 24 September - 2 October.
The next Senior Event on the WA Squash Calendar is the 2016 Cambridge Open (Fri night 22-23 July) at Squashworld Cambridge. Entries close: Wednesday, 20th July 5.00pm.

The second Performance Player Camp of the year was recently held at Terrace Squash Centre (April 12-16). After the huge success of the first Performance Player Camp held in January, we once again approached former Scottish Squash Head Coach Roger Flynn to deliver the second in our series of three camps.
The 2016 City of Perth International Squash Challenge incorporating the WA Open events will be held at Terrace Squash Centre from the 27th – 29th May. The event will include PSA 5k events for both Men and Women. There will also be graded events for local players.
The inaugural Pilbara Regional Squash Championships is being hosted by Hedland Squash Club over the WA Day long weekend June 3-5. The Championships is an individual tournament, open to nomination for players who are members of a Pilbara Squash Club and registered with WA Squash.

You are invited to attend a get together on Sunday, 17th January 2016 to say goodbye to the North Beach / West Coast Squash Centre & Club, as it will unfortunately be demolished in the new year to make way for property development.

The first WA Junior Age Tournament for 2016 is the Karakal Kup to be held on 23-24 January at Terrace Squash Centre (Level 1, Plaza Level West, Fortescue Centre, Terrace Road, East Perth).
The 2016 Pennant Dates for all 3 seasons (Autumn, Winter & Spring) are now available for viewing.
Please note that due to Monday Public Holidays, the 2016 Autumn Season Monday draw will start a week earlier than the Tuesday & Thursday draw and also finish a week later.
Both Mens & Ladies State Grade will also commence the same week as the Monday draw.

The next senior event on the WA Squash Calendar is the 2015 Mullaloo Squash Club Championships Open. It will be held on Saturday, 21st November at Mullaloo Squash Centre. This event is open to everyone - players from any club and of any ability level are encouraged to enter.
The 2015 Busselton Halloween Squash Open was held on the weekend of 31 October - 1 November at the Busselton Squash Club. It was pleasing to see an increase in participants this year, which was greatly helped by large contingents of UWA and Mirrabooka players making the trip down to Busselton to compete.

In conjunction with the Club Development Coaching Course in December, WA Squash is hosting a FREE refereeing information evening onFriday, 11th December for those interested in improving their knowledge of the rules.
Two separate Safe 4 Kids Workshops will be conducted in the next two weeks at the Department of Sport and Recreation.
