Egel and Dave Challons involved in a major incident in turn 1. Both cars completely wrecked and doubtful for the rest of the night. For Challons that is the second wreck of the weekend after wrecking his car at Avalon on Friday night. Challons roll cage is actually snapped which is testament as to how severe the accident was. Premier speedway officials were required to repair the catch fence in turn 1 before the resumption of heat 6.

34th Easter Sprintcar Trail

Here at Warrnambool for the final round of the Easter Sprintcar Trail.

South Australian Daniel Pestka comes into the night leading the series with a 2nd place at Avalon Friday night and again at Mt Gambier last night.

Victorian Dennis Jones is in 2nd followed by another South Australian Matt Egel.

Steven Lines was successful at Mt Gambier last night after a monumental crash at Avalon the previous night and picked up 3rd quickest in the time trial tonight.

Local hero Max Dumnsey secured quick time with a blistering 10.117 lap followed by the winner of the Avalon night Trevor Green with Lines 3rd quickest.

The warm up session was halted after Eddie Lumbar put his NSW36 car upside down into the fence in turn 3. With speeds reaching 160kph at the end of the straight and averaging 145+ kph per lap there is no room for mistakes here.

For regular updates on the night go to region and select Warrnambool.
