After seven rounds and nearly seven months of competition, the 2016 edition of the FIM CEV Repsol will finish next Sunday in Valencia. A week after the end of the World Championship, the International series will reach its conclusion with still one Champion left to be crowned, the one of the Moto3 Junior World Championship. Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Marcos Ramirez, the only candidates to the title, separated by 14 points with the Italian in first, will fight to win the Championship in two races, before both jumping to the World Championship next year. Over at Moto2, Steven Odendaal already secured the crown in Portimao two rounds ago. The battle for the runner-up position will be fought in Valencia, where Alan Techer (149 points) and Tetsuta Nagashima (137) will decide who takes the second place of the overall podium in the end. At Superbike, with the first and second places already secured by Carmelo Morales and Maxi Scheib, respectively, there is only the third position to be decided between Alejandro Medina (123 points) and Anthony Delhalle (107). |

The penultimate round of the FIM CEV Repsol held today at Jerez decided the result of the European Superbikes Championship, a series won by Carmelo Morales after two victories in the two races held today. Over at Moto3, Marcos Ramirez took the fight for the Junior World Championship to Valencia after winning the first race and the runner-up spot in the second. The race was won by Italian Tony Arbolino, who achieved his first win in the championship. A first win was also achieved by Alan Techer, who took the upper hand in a duel with Steven Odendaal that wasn’t decided until the very last lap. The season finale will take place in Valencia on November 20th. |

Albacete circuit hosts the FIM CEV Repsol fifth round of the season this weekend. There will be one race for Moto3 class, another one for Moto2, and two races for Superbike. The race in Albacete will be another chance for the riders to shine in a championship that has become the World Championship stepping stone and a place where the younger motorcycling promises as Albert Arenas –college student– put their effort to one day become professional riders. The second half of the championship starts with the italian Lorenzo Dalla Porta on top of the Moto3 Junior World Championship standings with an advantage of 31 points over Marcos Ramirez. The South African Steven Odendaal leads the Moto2 European Championship standings having 39 points more than Alan Techer. In the Superbike European Championship Maximilian Scheib is leading with a 6 points advantage on Carmelo Morales. |
