"It was a difficult race, because we didn’t know which tyre to choose, as the temperature was lower than yesterday. During the formation lap we tried an intermediate tyre and in the race the bike worked well, we were able to repeat the pace we had yesterday with the hard tyres, which at first were the best. It’s a fantastic result and the Championship is close, but the second race will be even more difficult, because it will be hotter and I’ll need to keep the focus to get the title, which is the most important thing."

"I’m very happy, because we were able to secure the championship and we already saw yesterday that our rival was very strong. We kept our focus and the race went quite well. I was getting ready to attack in the last lap, but in this championship the level is very high and you need to take care of all details, both the tyres and the fuel consumption. Max [Scheib] was unlucky and I could take advantage of it to win the race. I’m very happy with the work the team did the whole year, because the 0 at the Valencia round put a lot of pressure on us, but the rest of the season was perfect."

"The race was very tough, because it was very hot. I tried to keep a good pace from the beginning, but couldn’t get advantage and there was a big group, with a lot of overtaking. A few laps before the end I tried again, I pushed hard and this time I was able to build some advantage that allowed me to take the win. I want to thank the team and everyone that has come here to support me."

"It was a fantastic race and I’m very happy. I have no words. After the first race today, in the second I tried to be in front immediately, because with the battle within the category, it was important to avoid trouble. In the end I focused to keep my position and I finished first. I’m very grateful to the whole team and to my mechanics for this victory, that I have been trying to achieve for a very long time."

"After the three years at the FIM CEV, winning this race is amazing. I’m grateful to my team, my family and my sponsors. The race was tough, because it was very hot, but I knew from the start that I had pace to fight for victory. I took the first place and try to build some advantage, but I couldn’t escape. When in the last lap Steven [Odendaal] overtook me, I said to myself I wouldn’t let him, because I wanted to win, so I let the brakes go and I was able to turn better than him in the last corner and take the win. It’s fantastic!".
