About
A club for car Enthusiasts who meet monthly to discuss rodding culture, events and social aspects of rodding. Promote hot rodding as a family sport.
Description
A day was organized by a group of 8 people to meet on the 3rd June, 2010, at Kilmore, for an informal lunch with the premise of forming a new Hot Rod Club. Everyone supported the idea and the decision was made to establish a new Hot Rod Club.
The 8 Foundation Members were Don McKie, Michael Hoyle, Tony Coppo, Brigitte and Lou Callegari, Peter Trim, Jim Veale and Jim Wolstencroft. Two of the founding members have resigned due to personal reasons and we now have 18 Members.
We held our first event, namely a ‘Show & Shine’ at Yea in North East Victoria, on Sunday, 20th March, 2011 (ASRF Sanction No. 71/10). This was our inaugural event, and we had a Second Annual show and shine event in 2012 which proved even more successful than the 1st with an increased abount of entrants with cars on display and many more visitors.
We are a small Club but we offer a friendly, social environment for like-minded Rodders, and new members are most welcome. We meet at various locations and create a social atmosphere for the Club, as we have our meetings during the day, starting at mid-day with a Bar-B-Que lunch, followed by a meeting.
