DIRT TRACK RACING BACK AT ALEXANDRA SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

Alexandra Speedway dishes up another dose of great dirt track racing this Saturday night the 15th
of November with a full program of local heroes in club racing and the visiting Grand Prix Midgets
competing in their second state series round of the season.
The Grand Prix Midgets are headlined by their national champion Ash Booker however based on
action at Wangaratta recently he is in for a tough time of things on track with Chris Fowler, Louis
Rodriguez, Lisa Chalcraft, the Perry boys Trevor & Paul and guest driver Darren Power looking for
their own glory.
Shepparton's Louis Rodriguez will be in the mix.
The Midgets with their Yamaha & Suzuki engines get up quite a decent speed on the super fast
Alexandra venue & could smash some records this Saturday night.
Locally divisions in competition are the Sports Sedans, Unlimited Sedans, Standard Saloons, Ladies
Sedans, SSA Juniors & VSC Juniors.
Alexandra local resident Luke Fallon won the Sports Sedan final last meeting and he will be looking
to repeat. Matt Ridd also a local racer makes a return to racing whilst Greg Parks from Lancefield
who just finished third last weekend at Wangaratta is in form also.
Tim McPherson from Beveridge on the Hume Highway was a winner two weekends ago at Heartland
Raceway Moama and he is looking towards securing a victory in the Unlimited Sedans however will
have to overcome tough competition including Darren Nelson who won at Alexandra’s first meeting
of the season.
In the national junior division a number of first season race drivers have injected fresh interest into
the racing. Chloe Sheerman & Nicholas Herry join last meetings rookies Rhiannon Campton, Luke
Dingley & Kasey Garlick coming from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Racing starts at 4pm & gate prices for spectators are Adults $20, Aged and Invalid Pensioners $15,
kids 12 to 16 $10, under 12 are free whilst two adults and two kids in the 12 to 16 aged bracket can
