MWA Night of Champions Awards Night Clarification-Motorcycling Western Australia has been receiving an increasing amount of phone calls from riders and parents confused about the different presentation functions, where they will be held, when and what awards will be presented. So, to clear the air, Motorcycling Western Australia will be conducting the Night of Champions on Friday 21 November at Rendezvous Scarborough from 6.30 pm. Regulation Changes for All MX Championships-Regulations for all Motocross championships for 2014 have been amended in respect to seeded numbers for the 2015 championship. All competitors need to be aware of the changes as the 2014 championship regulations affect the awarding of 2015 seeded numbers. Back to Wanneroo Junior/Senior Race Day-The Wanneroo Junior Motocross Club was formed back in 1973 and although many things have changed around the track the club is still going strong. The club is the one of the largest junior only clubs in Western Australia and has some produced some top junior riders over its’ 40 years.
So the club is proud to say that it’s on again this year the annual Back to Wanneroo Reunion Junior/Senior Race Day on Sunday 26th October 2014. There will be Junior and Senior Classes run on the day and there should be plenty of fast paced action to keep both the riders and spectators busy. Read More

Trail riding families invited to Open Day at Pinjar this Saturday-Trail riders and their families are invited to the Pinjar Open Day on October 4 as part of Outdoors October. The morning will commence at 10am with the bi-monthly carpark cleanup, then there will be the opportunity to ride the trails, find out about the next stage plans for the area and sample the new practice MX circuit. Our friends at the Department of Parks and Wildlife will once again put on a barbecue. If you haven’t yet brought the family to Pinjar this will be the ideal time to do so. ReadMore

MCRCWA Championship Titles All up for Grabs this weekend-WA Superbike Racing has seen some monumental battles this season over the last four rounds and Sunday October 5th will be no different when any one of three riders could take the 2014 Championship title. Cameron Stronach riding the My carebook Holdfast BMWS1000RR got his season off to a flying start taking both Rounds 1 and 2 wins – 6 races from 6 starts. He will be pushing the limits to take back to back Superbike Titles. But it hasn’t been all plain sailing, round Three and things got just a little wobbly for the championship leader, a broken gearshift lever put him out of the 2nd race and saw him battle from the rear of the grid to come in 5th overall for the round. The Final Straight for Safari and It's Competitors-The finish line celebrations on Kalbarri Foreshore were a mixture of happiness, relief and sadness for Australasian Safari competitors and organisers today. This group of 127 competitors are likely to be the last entrants to race the iconic motorsport event, a few of whom such as Bruce Garland, Steve Riley and Jim Cairns were also entrants in the first Safari in 1985. The navigational rally took the cars, bikes, and side by side buggies through their paces in a variety of terrain, from the harsh red desert of Western Australia’s Mid-West and Pilbara, to the sandy dunes and coastal scrub of the Coral Coast. Australian national team shines & the Stage set for final day of racing at Appin-Members of the 2014 Australian Junior MX team who competed in Belgium earlier this year took centre stage at the Appin circuit yesterday. The 85cc 2st/150cc 4st 12-U14's class is split in to two groups this year and has two stand out performers after three heats each. 2014 MXGP 85cc runner up Caleb Grothues and Riley Dukes have set up an exciting day of finals after taking out three heat wins each in their respective groups. Finals started for the 85cc 2st/150cc 4st 14-U16's finals started Wednesday with Cooper Pozniak leading on 67 points ahead of Cody Mcmahon on 61 and Hugh McKay on 60 after two finals. ReadMore

Halfway mark saw WA champion crowned at KTM AJMX-Regan Duffy crowned Australian 65c 11-U12 champion and runner up in the 85cc Under 12 class.Racing concluded last Sunday, 28th September, for the first group of riders at Appin and some genuine superstars have been crowned champions for 2014. The crowd at Appin was treated to spectacular racing hosted by KTM Australia and the Macarthur Motorcycle Club. It was edge of your entertainment with championships decided in the final races of the day! In the 50cc Division 2 class, Tasmanian Jett Burgess-Stevens edged out second place Queenslander Braden Plath by just three points, a further 10 points back in third was Jasper Moon from New South Wales.
