Jan Juc, VIC/AUS (Saturday, 13 May 2017): The opening day of the final stop of the Victorian Junior Series presented by HIF Australia has been met with great conditions at Jan Juc Beach on Victoria's Surf Coast. 

An overhead 3ft swell fanned by a light southerly wind provided an excellent canvas for Victoria's top juniors to do battle for positions in the Victorian Junior Team for the Surf Dive N Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles this November in NSW. 
 
With the Victorian Titles sewn up for 5 of the 6 divisions being run over the weekend, all eyes are on the Under 14 Girls division.

Ellie Harrison (Barwon Heads), Poppy Corbett (Phillip Island) and Jazz Wylie (Jan Juc) are all in contention for the Under 14 Girls Victorian Title, all three progressed with impressive performances through to Sunday's Final. 
 
Wylie was the highest scoring of the trio today, her 13.66 two wave total (out of a possible 20) securing her berth into the final.

"It was really fun out there today" said Wylie. 

"I know I need a big result this weekend to win the State Title, I'm just trying to do my best and confirm myself a position in the Victorian Team".
 
Surfing Victoria Official Forecaster Coastalwatch Plus is predicting an increase in swell for the final day of competition on Sunday..
