At the Motorcycling Western Australia Council meeting last night (1 August) we were lucky to have present reps from our insurers and claims managers to talk through how the Motorcycling Australia insurance works. John Bolitho (MA Insurance Limited – MAIL), Brendan Wright (AON Insurance Brokers – Risk Managers), and Richard Thomas (Proclaim – Claims Managers) all provided a great deal of insight into what the insurance is, how it works, what is covered and not covered. more...

MWA’s Jessica Boujos wins Womens Australian Supermoto Championships |
The 2016 Stay Upright Australian Supermoto Championship were conducted over the weekend of the 29th – 31st July determining the Supermoto PRO and WOMEN champions for 2016.
The Supermoto WOMEN’s class was fantastic viewing for spectators and riders alike with competitors travelling from as far afield as Western Australia and Victoria to compete. more...

It's on again, the Wanneroo Junior Motocross along with KTM Australia, are getting ready to race at the Clubs annual open event the "KTM Kid of the Sand” on Sunday the 21st August 2016. Like in previous years there will be a wonderful display of KTM Australia’s latest line up of Motocross bikes, along with their many accessories housed under the big KTM Tent. KTM Australia is also committed to supplying the Wanneroo Junior Motocross Club plenty of prizes to be given away on the day, along with $200 gift voucher for the overall winner of each competition class and the prestigious title of the “Kid of the Sand” for that class. more...

Northam District Motorcycle Club New Track Opening Day |
The first meeting of the Northam District Motorcycle Club was held on Sunday the 24th July, at their new Northam track just off the Great Eastern Highway bypass. The original “Northam Motorcycle Club” was disbanded in 2001 due to the EPA closing the track due to noise complaints. So it has taken 15 years and a lot of hard work from the old members and a new group of passionate riders to get the club up and running again. more

2016 “Make Smoking History" WA State Trial Championships |
The AJS MCC of Western Australia, Trial Division, in conjunction with our major Sponsors, Healthway WA, proudly presents the 2016 “Make Smoking History” Western Australian State Trial Championships to be held on Sunday 28th August. This year the championships will be held at the fabulous “Jimperding Farm”, the property of Dave and Georgie Thomas in Morangup, arguably one of the best trial locations in Western Australia.
A large field can expect challenging terrain with both wet and dry sections to contend with during the event. more...

Smarter than Smoking Minikhana in Coolup |
On Saturday the 30th of July the Smarter than Smoking Minikhana kicked off in Coolup. With an impressive turnout of 27 children competing on the day, our best turn out yet with some competitors coming from as far as Narrogin. The day started with some sunshine and the weather held off for us until later in the afternoon. Young Oskar Thomas being the stand out for the day in group 2 with his impressive bike skills coming out on top in his group.more...

Middleton On Track For Championship Glory After Round 4 |
It is a formidable mixture, heavy rain, more heavy rain, undulating terrain and dirt, the mixture resulted in slush, mud and more mud for the 4th Round of the Make Smoking History WAMX Junior State Championships, held in extreme conditions in the Perth hills at Chidlow on Sunday July 31st. With the weather and track conditions, came the scramble for points in the championships, and this round was a smorgasboard of surprise results. more...
