GolfWA enews - Luck delight!

Hello once again from GolfWA
Thank you to everyone who came out to support another fantastic Nexus Risk TSA Group WA Open. Not only was the standard of play worthy of the beautiful surroundings at WA Golf Club, we witnessed a brilliant display from our champion Curtis Luck.

Rules Corner: It could have been more

Curtis Luck shot an incredible 19-under par in his four rounds at WA Golf Club, but it could have easily been 20-under if it weren't for an unexpected penalty on the 2nd green in his opening round.

Interstate Series Aussie golf's amateur hour

Next week's Interstate Series will be one of WA's best chances to win the men's title after a 16 year drought.
At the Nexus Risk TSA Group WA Open, the entire WA state team made the cut giving the team a boost ahead of their week in Queensland. More.

Aussies run 2nd in Korea

Led by Mount Lawley's Hannah Green, the Australian team finished an impressive second at the Queen Sirikit Cup behind the host nation. Read more about Hannah's efforts here on the Golf Australia website.

The Smarter than Smoking MyGolf Tour is continuing to grow the game at the junior level, catering for children at the Year 8 level and below and helping them progress up into club golf.
Want to get involved? Entries are still open for the upcoming Gosnells fixture on the 15th of May.

Vale Judy Nott

It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Judy Nott, pictured above left with fellow GolfWA life member Kay Lane.

Judy was one of GolfWA's longest standing life members and the golfing community in Western Australia will miss her and her dedication to our great game.More.

Join our Travel Tree golf tour to Thailand

Travel Tree, in conjunction with GolfWA, have scheduled a 7 day golfing tour of Thailand, playing three championship golf courses including the Jack Nicklaus designed Royal Country Club.

The GolfWA website has everything in one place for events and fixtures in WA and beyond.  You can see all GolfWA events, important national amateur events and club open days across the year including entry forms and resultshere. Click on a month or type of event, e.g. Paxton to display on the events that you're interested in, so If your club has any sort of open day coming up please inform us and we will ensure it's listed.
