BIGGEST NATIONAL SPEEDWAY TITLE IN AUSTRALIAN HISTORY THIS WEEK ON THE MOUNT

Redline Raceway & the Belmont Speedway Drivers Club are extremely pleased to this week be

holding the largest national Speedway title in Australian history when 139 nominated drivers swarm

to the top of Mount Buninyong with their friends & family to enjoy the a great weekend of racing,

stories & laughs & the club hopes to see you there too on both Saturday and Sunday night for some

exhilarating side by side, four car wide, door panel on door panel action.

The host club Belmont racing as Redline, has around twenty five drivers representing the club in the

‘Spencer Race Engines’ Australian Street Stock title including one of the major favourites for the title

Mick Dann. Mick has been in great form this season not just at Redline, also around Victoria. In Team

Redline if you like to call it that, there is the three car Purdie Brothers Team with Mark, Scott & Clint,

Jason Degoldi who has been sensational in qualifying for big events this year so far, Darren

Giacometti who has also been strong in big events & Darren Forrest who knows how to win at

Redline.

Throw in another sixteen drivers from the Ballarat Club that includes Shaun Henry & Chris

Whatmore & the local representation will be one to keep an eye on.

Almost one hundred Victorians will be competing against a strong field of competitors from South

Australia including Anthony Beare the current national champion who won the King of the Mountain

back earlier this season at the same venue, the Gartner boys & former 1 time national champion

Mark Jennings as well as ten or so Tasmanians & the same number in West Australians. A lone

Northern Territory & Queensland driver & a couple of New South Wales drivers also make the field.

If we were to write down the names of the potential winners for the title we would fill three pages

talking about them all, that’s how great the field is. However a few names include Tasmanian

champion Matthew Templar, Victorian Champion Brad McClure a 3 time national champion already,

Mildura’s Robbie Faux former two times Australian champion & Western Australians Jason Oldifield

& Mick Hamon also two times former national champions & a current multiple times Modified Sedan

national champion Mark Carlin.
