Summit Racing Equipment Renews ANDRA Support
The Australian National Drag Racing Association and Summit Racing Equipment are pleased to announce a multi-year renewal of their relationship.
This renewal sees the support Summit Racing Equipment has provided ANDRA’s Sportsman racers over the past three years as the naming rights sponsor of the national Sportsman Series continue.
Summit Racing Equipment Motorsport and Events Manager, Jim Greenleaf, said the performance powerhouse was always looking at ways to support Sportsman racing.
“We are very excited to be able to continue to support Australia’s sportsman racers through the extension of our relationship with ANDRA,” Greenleaf said.
“Like they have done for the past three years, sportsman racers will continue to receive end of year payouts of tens of thousands of dollars in recognition of their championship efforts from us. At the same time, they will continue to benefit from exclusive discount pricing by qualifying as a Summit Racing Pro Shop member.

The Australian Nationals Postponed
The following has been released by Calder Park Drag Racing as at the 18th of December 2017.
As a few of you may have already heard, The Australian Nationals will not go ahead as initially planned on the 26th and 27th of January, 2018.
Unfortunately, with the late withdrawal of the 400Thunder Group One categories and with only six weeks to go, it is not practical to run the event as planned. We do hope that you understand this has been an extremely difficult decision and one that was not taken lightly. This event was viewed as a major step forward that we hoped would bring the sport together again nationally, but it is unfortunately being postponed.
While this event will not go ahead, we can confirm we are working in conjunction with Calder Park management on a plan to resurface the asphalt portion of the drag strip together with some other upgrades. Planning and negotiations are well advanced and we are sure you will all be pleased with the end result (which we will keep you posted on).
A return to Championship racing at the venue is expected very soon following the abovementioned upgrades.
Regards
Calder Park Drag Racing

FUEL ADDITION
VP Racing Fuels have homologated their PSX + fuel blend. PSX + has been blended to suit the needs of high RPM, naturally aspirated racing engines with compression ratios above 12.0:1
The fuel has been added to the ANDRA Approved Fuels List and is available for use at all ANDRA sanctioned events from 15th February 2018
FUEL REMOVALS
VP Fuels homologation of PSX-AU, X16 AU and C23-AU and all Sunco Fuels have been removed from the homologation fuel list by the Suppliers.
As per the homologation policy fuels will be deleted off the list 90 days from advice received, therefore removal will be effective 21st February 2018 for removed fuels listed above.

Summit Racing Drop-Down Boxes Now Available
Don’t have room in the trunk for a battery—or don’t have a trunk at all? Consider mounting your battery under the floor of your vehicle. Doing so allows better weight distribution, unclutters your engine compartment, and provides space for an auxiliary battery.
Summit Racing’s Drop-Down Battery Boxes are designed for under-floor batteries. They accept most standard size batteries and are designed to drop down for easier charging or other maintenance. The battery boxes are available in stainless steel and black powdercoated steel and come with a battery hold-down. The boxes measure 10.5 inches L x 7 inches W x 9.5 inches deep.
You’ll probably need a new set of battery cables, too. Our Summit Racing Battery Cable Kits come with one-gauge positive and negative cables with durable silicone covers, top post terminals, side-to-top post terminal adapters, firewall grommets, and Adel clamps: https://www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=SUM-G1208-1
