Scottish Swimming Announces New Partnership with Edinburgh Airport

Scottish Swimming and Edinburgh Airport are delighted to announce a new partnership to support Scottish Swimming national events, in particular the Scottish National Diving Championships & Thistle Trophy and the Scottish National Short Course Swimming Championship, both of which are held at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh during December.

Forbes Dunlop, Chief Executive at Scottish Swimming, is delighted about the new relationship, which officially launches on 1st December.  "We are delighted to welcome Edinburgh Airport to our portfolio of commercial partners. Both Scottish Swimming and Edinburgh Airport have ambition and commitment to be world class in our respective fields so there is great synergy in what we do and the values we share.

"We are looking forward to a successful partnership and would like to thank all those involved in the process."

Edinburgh Airport’s Chief Executive Gordon Dewar said:  “Edinburgh Airport is delighted to be backing a world class organisation like Scottish Swimming - and we’re looking forward to the two competition events later this month here in Edinburgh.

“We share similar values of performance excellence and a commitment to delivering for Scotland on the world stage – and this promises to be the start of a very special relationship.”

Edinburgh Airport’s support will be launched ahead of the Scottish National Diving Championships at the Royal Commonwealth Pool this weekend.  This event will attract a number of athletes from across the UK and as far afield as Dubai including home favourites Scotland’s own Grace Reid and James Heatly who will both be looking to continue the form which witnessed  them pick up medals at the FINA Diving World Series and the European Games in Baku earlier this year.
